About The Artist
Hi there, human who stumbled upon my website. About me? Well, I am a visual artist, living in my childhood home after more than a decade away. Returning to the source, my work explores the process of re-writing familial narratives, the visceral connection between joy and grief / life and death, and the meaning of "home" and "belonging".
My work lives in a world of vibrant color, playful whimsy, and radical optimism. I aim to create spaces that feel both nostalgically familiar and wondrously enchanted—places that viewers can escape to and find themselves within. My relationship with illustration began in early childhood, drawing alongside my Dad on the backs of paper place mats in our favorite window booth at my hometown diner. Since then, I have had an unending love of creative expression and bringing imagined worlds to life, preferring to have ink on my jeans and paint under my fingernails.
That early playfulness with line and color became the foundation of my style, resurfacing with new intensity as an adult, as I processed my father’s long battle with Parkinson’s and ultimately his passing. My most joy-filled, brightly colored works are, in part, a way to move through grief, using art to find light amid loss. The colors in my work are also deeply influenced by my many travels to color-rich India and the heart-nourishing spiritual practices of Bhakti Yoga.

My latest series "Lo-Fi Studio Dreams" is currently still unfolding - a string of intimate, dreamlike environments that serve as mini sanctuaries for rest and preservation in an unpredictable and turbulent world. There’s a childlike sense of wonder and radical optimism in my art, as I aim to capture the curiosity we so often lose as adults. When I work, I lose track of time and place, and I hope that the viewer, too, can drift into these worlds I create—serving as a reminder that we can create our own inner spaces of comfort and resilience whenever we want, wherever we are.
With a BFA in Illustration and Graphic Design from Kutztown University, and an MFA in Advertising Art Direction from the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco, I spent over a decade on creative teams for brands like Crayola, Kashi, Procter & Gamble, and Kellogg’s. I also spent three years as a University Professor at the Art Institute of Portland, teaching courses in Art Direction, Publication Design, Illustration, Collateral Advertising, Rapid Visualization, and Corporate Identity.

I now offer my freelance services solely to small businesses who are passionate about making our world a better place. As a brand design consultant, I help guide my clients from initial logo ideation, through full website launches, and in to cross-platform marketing campaigns.
